It's Never Too Early

It's Never Too Early

Greetings!

The latest study out of Britain on neuropathy has found that a large group of pre- diabetic patients exhibits early symptoms of peripheral neuropathy when carefully examined.
Up to 18% of these folks already had neuropathy .

The startling part of this finding is three-fold:

One, we always held to the belief that the destruction of the small fiber nerves in DPN took years of elevated glucose levels to develop…. This is apparently untrue.

Two, the presence of even mildly elevated blood glucose was already working its destruction upon nerve endings long before diabetes was even diagnosed! Sometimes with nearly normal blood glucose levels.

The third disturbing fact is that there are approximately 90 million pre-diabetics in the US alone… many millions more in the rest of the world.
And 18% of 90 million is …..well, A LOT!

The mechanism of early neuropathy formation is likely related to impaired kidney function that disallows the absorption of critical nutrients into nerve cells.

This, even slightly impaired function, over time, leads to the devastating effects of DPN.

PREVENTION IS KEY

A healthy diet that includes plenty of high quality nutrients is helpful.

Getting started early , that is prevention , is the key.
The supplementation in our diets with a reliable source of B1, in the more bio-available form of Benfotiamine, like in NeuraVite, is even better.

Additional nerve support nutrients, like vitamin B12 , which is lowered in diabetes, especially with the use of Metformin, vitamin B6 and the super-antioxidant Alpha Lipoic Acid are critical to maintaining your healthy nerve fibers.

That’s why we put them in NeuraVite.
